A backyard home, done right — from “is it even allowed?” to a home your family can move into.
A backyard home (ADU) adds space and value — but the rules differ by city and lot. We tell you what's possible for your address, in plain English, then coordinate the whole project.
What is an ADU?
A small, independent home on your lot — kitchen, bath, living, sleep — built to the same code as a site-built house. (Not a mobile home or trailer: we work with modular, IRC-code homes, not HUD-code manufactured units. Cities treat modular the same as site-built.)
Our 3 models — on purpose
- Model A — studio, ~400–450 sq ft: aging parent, office + bath, guest suite.
- Model B — 1 bedroom, ~600–650 sq ft: our core product. Full kitchen, accessible-bath option, laundry.
- Model C — 2 bedroom, ~800 sq ft: multigenerational families, long-term rental.
Three finish tiers (Essential / Family / Premium). No custom design — that's how we keep it predictable and affordable.
How it works — the ladder
1. Owner's ADU Roadmap (feasibility report) → 2. Permit-ready package → 3. Installation. Start small; only proceed when the facts say go. Every step credits toward the next.
